Lake Placid Pub & Brewery – Beer with heart.
I may be biased, but I LOVE the beers at Lake Placid Pub & Brewery. I mean it is where I grew up. One of my favorites is their Big Slyde IPA. It’s been around for a while and I think it used to be known as Frostbite back in the day before it was bottled.
Going to the Pub for their craft beer on Two for Tuesdays is something I will always remember. They have these cute little wood chips they give you for your free beer. I spent many a summer night in that pub and it connected me with people in a way that I didn’t realize was possible. You see, Lake Placid is a small town. It’s comprised of locals, and snowbirds, and a lot of tourists.
And to top it all off, the owners are the best people. They’ve been open since 1996. And the red Adirondack chairs really are their signature. And so comfortable!
